Opened in 1983, the Celo Inn is comfortable and lovely, without being precious; affordable and simple, but not primitive. Details borrowed from countless European hostels and inns – cozy, dormered nooks, exposed framing timbers, burnished wood, soft tile – were incorporated into the structure.
Randy and Nancy Raskin have managed the Celo Inn since 1987. It’s an ideal destination for visiting Mount Mitchell State Park, or spending time on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is 8 miles away. The Inn is also the perfect place to spend the day reading a good book or strolling through the gardens after a summer rain.
Celo Inn has 5 rooms on an upstairs hall in the main building, plus a separate cottage that sleeps 5. The Inn is open mid-March through December. The cottage is available April through October.
