The Colonial Guest Home is like staying at Grandma’s house.
Guest rooms in a historic and traditional family home offer a pleasant experience for visitors.
The private home of Ruth Banks offers guest lodging with an eight-foot deck that leads to a private entrance to the rooms, each with a private bath, small refrigerator, microwave, cable television and fully furnished rooms.
The Colonial, located just a few blocks from the town square, is a large remodeled old fashioned two-story home. Built by a Burnsville doctor in the early 1900s, the house was then purchased by Ruth’s father, Henry Lewis, and has been occupied by her family for over 75 years.
The Colonial is open year round, offering the comforts of home by the night or for an extended visit.
Guests can sit in the sun by day and relax in rocking chairs in the cool evening breeze. The residence has a large, tree shaded lawn highlighted by the beautiful flowers Ruth grows.
